What is Dashboard AI Analysis?

Credit union leaders are often asked to explain complex performance trends clearly and confidently, whether to boards, executive teams, or staff. Callahan’s Dashboard AI Analysis (Beta) helps streamline that work by turning dashboard‑level performance data into a clear, written narrative using a uniquely credit union‑focused point of view.

Instead of reviewing metrics one chart at a time, Dashboard AI looks across related measures to highlight key themes, trends, and drivers of performance. The result is a pre‑formatted, exportable analysis that supports informed discussion, saves time, and helps teams focus on what matters most.

Using Dashboard AI Analysis

Where can I find AI Dashboard Analysis in Peer Suite?

You’ll find the AI Dashboard Analysis option on most Peer Suite folders and dashboards, including built-in dashboards, credit union and bank data sections, and on your qualifying custom content.

Look for the AI Analysis button at the top of your dashboard or folder when viewing it in tile view.

Peer Pointer!

Dashboard AI is available, where it can provide clear, high-level insights. It is not supported in Community Data, Peer Plus (formerly Market Share Reporting), Merger Analysis, or large table reports with dozens of metrics, where the complexity makes concise analysis impractical.

How can I use AI Dashboard Analysis outside of Peer Suite?

You can use Dashboard AI Analysis in presentations, reports, and other materials in several ways by using the built-in functions available below the analysis.

  1. Export to PDF: to download a presentation‑ready version of the analysis (pictured below)
  2. Export to Word: to edit and customize the text to fit your presentation
  3. Copy to Clipboard: to paste the analysis into a document, email, or another application.

Does AI Analysis save its output?

Yes. AI‑generated analysis is saved automatically unless you choose to regenerate it using the Retry icon below the analysis.
The output is tied to your comparison set, dashboard, or folder settings and selected date range.

If any of these settings change, AI Analysis will re‑run the next time you visit the AI Analysis tab. If you later revert to your previous settings, the original analysis will reappear.

What if I want to focus on the metric(s) from a specific display?

If you want analysis on a single chart or metric instead of an entire dashboard, you can use Callahan’s single‑display AI Analysis feature. Learn more in this guide.

Getting The Best Results

Why isn’t AI Analysis working on my custom content?

Callahan's AI Analysis needs clear, English-language titles to understand what a metric represents. If a display or formula name is vague (e.g., “chart 2” or “a396/a025b”) or mislabeled (e.g., “delinquent loans” instead of “total assets”), AI may not be able to interpret it or may interpret it incorrectly.

Think of it like a fast-moving intern; use clear labelling so the AI knows what it is analyzing.

What considerations are there with custom content?

To keep analysis concise and readable:

  • Custom tables should include no more than 10 metrics or ratios.
  • Tables should focus on related metrics with a common theme

Tables that are too large or contain unrelated ratios may not generate analysis or may produce less focused results.

Are there size limits for dashboard‑level analysis?

Yes. Dashboard AI Analysis works best on dashboards with 40 displays or fewer. Larger dashboards may not generate and can result in output that is too long or difficult to summarize clearly.

What if I disagree with the AI output?

Dashboard AI Analysis is designed to support your expertise, not replace it. While the analysis is grounded in your data and a credit union‑focused framework, it may not fully reflect your institution’s strategy or context in every situation.

If the output does not align with your expectations, you have a few options:
    • Use the Retry icon to refresh the analysis.
    • Export the analysis to Word or the copy to clipboard option to edit specific sections or language.
    • Share direct feedback using the thumbs-up or thumbs-down icons.

Can Callahan’s AI Analysis make mistakes?

Yes, Callahan’s AI Analysis Beta is still learning and may occasionally make mistakes. Feedback from users helps improve accuracy and usefulness over time. You can share feedback using the thumbs-up or thumbs-down icons or email support@callahan.com.

Data And Security

Is this feature free, or is there an additional cost?

What data does Callahan’s AI Analysis use for its review?

Callahan's AI Analysis works exclusively with the public datasets available in Peer Suite. To protect privacy, it is not available on proprietary datasets, such as non‑interest income Community Data.

AI Analysis may reference publicly available information to better understand financial metric definitions and improve the clarity of its output.

Does AI Analysis include historical merger data?

Yes. Callahan's AI Analysis recognizes when mergers occurred that may have affected performance and provides context explaining how those events may have influenced results during a given time period.

At this time, Callahan's AI cannot identify the specific name of a merger partner.

What LLM (Large Language Model) does Callahan’s AI Analysis utilize?

Callahan’s AI Analysis tools currently utilize OpenAI’s GPT-4.1-mini model. Other models are continuously being reviewed to ensure accuracy and data security.

Are there any data security concerns with Callahan’s AI?

Callahan takes data security seriously. When Callahan's AI Analysis runs, the only information sent to the model is publicly available data, such as your credit union’s name and data from the 5300 Call Report.

Callahan's AI Analysis does not have access to Callahan’s full database or any user information. It only analyzes the data visible on Peer Suite's canvas at the time AI Analysis is selected.

Conclusion

Dashboard AI Analysis is designed to help credit union teams move more quickly from data to discussion. Whether you are preparing board and leadership presentations, supporting executive decision‑making, or educating staff on performance trends, the tool provides a clear, written starting point grounded in your data and a credit union‑focused perspective.

As you use Dashboard AI Analysis in real‑world scenarios, your feedback helps ensure the tool continues to improve and better support the way credit unions analyze and communicate performance. You can share feedback directly within the platform using the thumbs-up or thumbs-down icons, or email suggestions to support@callahan.com.
