Custom Peer Group Overview

Peer Suite provides three distinct methods for creating custom peer groups, empowering you to customize your analysis to meet your institution's unique needs. In this guide, we’ll explore why custom peer groups matter and walk you through each method.

Why Custom Peer Groups Matter

Custom peer groups enable you to focus on “The Who” of your analysis—identifying credit unions that share the characteristics most relevant to the metrics you're evaluating. By tailoring your peer groups to different objectives, you can ensure more effective and actionable benchmarking.

  • Aspirational Comparisons: Aligning your peer group’s characteristics with your institution’s goals helps uncover insights that drive growth and inspire improvement opportunities.
  • Performance Accountability: Benchmarking within custom peer groups reveals where your credit union stands—whether underperforming, on track, or excelling—providing the clarity needed to motivate targeted improvements.
  • Strategic Insights: Focus on the metrics that matter most to your institution’s size, goals, and operating environment, empowering data-driven decisions that align with your long-term vision.
