Before You Begin: Decide whether you want your peer group to consist of credit unions or banks—peer groups cannot mix institution types.


Select by Institution: Simple Peer Group Build

This method is ideal for users who already have a set list of institutions that they would like to benchmark against and prefer to select them manually.

  1. Search for Institutions: Use the search bar to find specific institutions.
  2. Add Institutions to Your Peer Group: Click on an institution to add it to your peer group.
  3. Remove Institutions: To remove an institution, simply uncheck the blue box next to its name.

Want to Narrow Your Search by State? Use the state filter to focus on institutions within a specific location.


  1. Review Your Selection: Your chosen institutions will appear in a table on the right side of the screen. You can check and uncheck institutions as needed.
  2. Save Your Peer Group: Once you're satisfied with your selection, give your peer group a name and save it.

Want to start over? Use the "Reset" button to clear all selections and begin again.

Your peer group will be automatically be added to your comparison set. If you ever need to revisit your peer group or make edits, jump to this section of the guide to learn more.

Upload List: Simple Peer Group Build

This option is ideal if you have a list of charter numbers in an Excel file that you'd like use as a base for your peer group.

  1. Upload Your File: Drag your file into the gray upload box (accepted formats: .csv or .xlsx ), or click on the box to browse and select a file from your computer.
  2. Review Uploaded Institutions: The institutions from your file will appear in a table on the right side of your screen.

  1. Add Institutions: Use the search bar to find and add additional institutions, if necessary.
  2. Final Review: Ensure your selected institutions are accurate. You can check or uncheck institutions directly in the table on the right side of the screen.
  3. Save Your Peer Group: When you're satisfied with your selection, name your peer group and click the save button.

Editing Peer Groups

Once you’ve created a peer group, it’s automatically added to your comparison set, allowing you to start your analysis immediately. If you need to make adjustments, you can:

  1. Double-click the peer group’s “pill” in your comparison set.
  2. Open the Manage Peer Groups module.

When saving your edits, you have two options:

  • Save: Overrides the current peer group.
  • Save As: Creates a new copy, preserving the original group.

Remember to revisit and refine your peer group criteria periodically to ensure your comparisons remain accurate and aligned with your credit union’s evolving priorities.
