Want a deeper look at the formulas and account codes behind a display? Just click the f(x) tab below any display to learn more.

All formulas used in a chart or table are listed there, with a breakdown of individual account code components. By default, they appear in a summary format, but you can expand sections manually or use the "Expand All" option to view all formula details at once.

Why It Matters

Understanding the breakdown of a formula can help you:

  • Transparency & accuracy – Ensure calculations align with expectations and organization standards.
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies – Identify unexpected results by tracing metrics back to their account codes.
  • Compare formulas – See how different calculations stack up across displays and peer groups.
  • Improve training & knowledge – Build confidence in interpreting and using financial metrics effectively.
  • Enhance custom displays – Leverage complex formulas and detailed account codes to build more tailored custom displays.

Peer Pointer!

For an even more detailed breakdown, select "Include breakdown of built-in accounts." Keep in mind that enabling this option may slightly increase loading time, depending on the complexity of the metrics.
