How To Create A Custom Dashboard or Folder

Custom dashboards and folders in Peer Suite allow you to organize your favorite Callahan-built displays (saved as shortcuts) and your custom displays in one place, giving you the flexibility to tailor your reports just the way you want!

1. Create a New Dashboard or Folder:

To get started, locate the buttons for creating folders and dashboards below the content search bar in the left navigation. Simply click the "Add Dashboard" or "Add Folder" icon to begin.

2. Add Content to Your Dashboard or Folder

Once your new folder or dashboard is created, it’s time to add content. You can drag displays directly onto the canvas to organize them.

  • Use the search bar or navigate through folders to find the displays you’d like to include in your custom dashboard or folder.
  • Displays can be built-in or custom.

Please note the below when organizing built-in displays.

  • Folders: When adding a built-in display to a folder, Peer Suite will display an alert letting you know a shortcut to this display is being created.
  • Dashboards: Built-in displays that are added to dashboards remain connected directly to the original.

In both cases, these displays will be maintained by Callahan, and you will need to make a copy if you would like to edit the display content.

3. Organizing Your Content

With Peer Suite’s drag-and-drop functionality, you can easily rearrange your displays.

  • If you want to remove a display, click the “More Options” icon in the upper-right corner of the display and select "Remove."
  • Adjust your view by using the Resizer slider, allowing you to view more or fewer displays across your canvas.

Did you know you can view folders in "Tile View" not just dashboards? Drag a folder on to the canvas to view all displays in a folder at once. This allows you to create a story with your data with just a few clicks.

Once you have dragged your folder to the canvas as seen in the example below. From there, you can rearrange your displays by dragging them on the canvas.

4. Name and Finalize

To give your new dashboard or folder a custom name, click the edit icon next to the title. Your changes will be automatically.
