How To Create A Custom Dashboard or Folder

Custom dashboards and folders in Peer Suite help you bring together your favorite Callahan built-in displays and any custom content you create. This makes it easy to organize your work, support your analysis, and quickly access the information you rely on to serve your members

1. Create a New Dashboard or Folder:

To begin, look for the Add Dashboard and Add Folder icons just below the content search bar in the left navigation panel. Click either icon to create a new space for your content.

You can also hover over an existing item in the left panel and click the ellipsis icon (...) to create a folder or dashboard nested inside that location.

2. Add Content to Your Dashboard or Folder

After your dashboard or folder is created, you can begin adding displays.

You can:

  • Search for displays using the search bar, then drag them into your dashboard or folder when it is open on your canvas

Peer Pointer!

Drag any folder onto the canvas to open it in tile view, which makes it easier to add content, organize your displays, adjust layout settings, or export all displays in one file

Dashboards automatically open in tile view.

  • Cut or Copy displays from other custom folders and  Paste them into a new location. Watch the video below to learn more.

Peer Pointer!

Since built in displays are maintained by Callahan, they cannot be cut or removed from their folders. Cutting and pasting is available only in My Projects. If you want to use a built in display in a custom folder or dashboard, choose whether to create an editable copy or add a shortcut.

3. Organizing Your Content

Peer Suite’s drag and drop tools make it easy to keep your dashboards and folders organized.

You can:

  • Click and drag displays to reorder them with in the canvas.
  • Remove a display by selecting the More Options icon in the upper right corner of the display and choosing Remove.

Peer Pointer!

Restore removed displays from the Trash folder by hovering over the item and selecting the ellipsis icon (...).

  • Adjust your view by using the resizing settings. This lets you choose how many spaces each display takes (vertically and horizontally) up when you're viewing your folders and dashboards in tile view.

If you want more ideas for managing your My Projects content, explore the Quick Tips and Resources guide for additional tips.

4. Name and Finalize

New dashboards and folders appear untitled until you name them. To assign a name, click the edit icon next to the placeholder title, enter your preferred name, and select the check mark to save. If you change your mind, choose the X to discard your changes.
